Joining the Cruizers

Car clubs have been in existence since the 1930s. However, back then, the clubs were better known as hot rod clubs. In 1951 the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) was formed, which served a crucial role in the organizing of hot rod and custom car clubs. Thousands of these car groups quickly started forming across America, and belonging to one of these car groups was something special. At one time, joining or belonging to a particular car group was viewed as craziness by outsiders. Fortunately that mindset is long gone. Today, there are more car clubs than ever. People tend to join these car groups or clubs for a wide variety of reasons. When you ask some of these folks today to share a little behind their decision to join a particular group(s), there are two reasons that stand out from the rest of the pack – memories and camaraderie. Camaraderie unites the club and helps keep the good times rolling along. More importantly though is the fun car clubs share, creating memories that will last forever! Our goal is not to be the biggest car club, but the club who has the most fun!!! Interested in possibly becoming a member of the Small Town Cruizers Car Club? Then, please join us at our next monthly club meeting which is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Salle's Cafe in Tulare. At the meeting, you will receive a membership application form, and then assigned a sponsor who will help guide you along and answer any questions you may have. Once you have met all of the eligibility requirements, your sponsor will make a motion to change your membership status from "trial" to "active," which will be voted upon by the club. Once the motion has been adopted and you become an "active" member, a membership fee will be collected and applied towards the purchase of a club shirt and car decal. We hope to see you at one of our car club events soon!
